Every freight inquiry has a few essentials.

The cargo, the places and your requested timing give the company something specific to discuss. Here is what to include in your first message.

Generated loading scene for illustration. It does not show company cargo or equipment.

The load, in everyday terms.

Tell the company what the goods are and how they are packaged. Include approximate quantity, dimensions and weight when you know them.

Mention anything that may affect handling, and ask whether the cargo is suitable before making arrangements.

Two places. Any constraints.

Identify the proposed origin and destination. Add access information or other location details that may matter.

Routes and coverage are not listed here. Include the locations you need the company to consider.

A date to discuss.

Give the date or time window you are requesting and explain whether it is flexible.

Equipment, availability, pricing and timing need direct confirmation. An inquiry is the first conversation, not a booking.

When the question includes a warehouse.

Add the warehouse-related part of your request and explain how it connects to the proposed movement of goods.
